Richard Schultz, CFP

 

Richard Schultz is the founder and owner of Schultz Financial Management Corporation, a SEC registered registered investment advisory firm.

 

While specializing in money management,  Richard advocates a comprehensive approach to financial planning that integrates cash flow, tax, insurance, investments, and estate planning within the framework of a prudently designed financial plan.

 

Richard has been helping families plan for their future and invest wisely since 1991.  He has advised retirees and pre-retirees, including key executives of Fortune 500 companies such as Boeing, Ford, Rockwell International, Northrop Grumman, Sun Microsystems, Linear Technology Corp, Kaiser, Raytheon, Union Bank and others.  He has also helped many small business owners reduce their income tax burden by establishing tax advantaged retirement plans.  Richard also works with many teachers and other public service employees.

 

Richard is a graduate of Moorhead State University, Minnesota (1981, BS Computer Science) and the College for Financial Planning  (1992, CFP Educational Program).  Prior to becoming a financial planner in 1991, Richard worked as a software engineer in Orange County, CA for 10 years.

 

Although Richard does not sell insurance, he is licensed by the California Department of Insurance and provides fee-only advice with respect to life, disability, and long term care insurance.  

  

Richard is a Certified Financial Planner™, and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a prestigious group of true Fee-Only financial advisors that have met rigorous competency standards in comprehensive financial planning.  

 

Richard and his wife Cecilia have 2 daughters and make their home in North Tustin, CA.

 

 

 

Don Debok, CFP

 

Don DeBok provides research and analytical support for Schultz Financial Mgmt Corp.  He performs data gathering, analysis, and preparation of client financial plans.  He also prepares and audits client investment reports.

 

Don worked four years at Newport Planning Corporation and six years as freelance consultant to financial planners throughout Southern California .  Don teaches in the Personal Financial Planning Program at UC Irvine. He has authored three on-line classes for the program and serves on the Advisory Board.  He was the primary author of the University’s nationally recognized financial planning course for consumers.

 

Trained as an Engineer, Don spent 27 years in the Coast Guard rising to the rank of Captain.  He is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and Oregon State University .

 

 

 

Cecilia Schultz

 

Cecilia Schultz is the office manager for Schultz Financial Mgmt Corp.  She performs administrative duties and customer service.   

 

Cecilia has a masters degree in Biochemistry from Cal State Fullerton.  Prior to her current position with Schultz Financial Mgmt, she worked for 10 years at Beckman Coulter in their Technical Marketing Dept., providing technical support to customers and field engineers.

Richard Schultz is the founder and owner of Schultz Financial Management, an independent financial planning practice dedicated to providing objective planning, exceptional service, and superior investment advice on a fee-only basis (no commissions).
